Claudine Engeser / Head of Press and Public Relations

Born and raised on the Lower Rhine, Claudine Engeser came to Cologne in the mid-1980s straight after leaving school to study English, Romance and German language and literature. Her plan to become a journalist worked out, because after internships at VIVA TV, NDR, WDR and others, she worked for many years as a freelance author for radio, television and print. She has written about culture and society for newspapers, online portals and magazines such as Qvest, mare, WamS, Spiegel Online and others.

He has reported on exhibitions, books and personalities from the art and literature scene on WDR 5 and WDR 3 radio and on pop music on WDR 2. Moderated art talks in galleries and readings at trade fairs. Founded KUNSTGANG, an agency that organizes guided tours of galleries and artists’ studios. Got to know PR through working for galleries and agencies and still works freelance in this field today. Claudine has been organizing and presenting readings and concerts since 2006. In 2024, she took over the festival management for “Musik in den Häusern der Stadt” at Kunstsalon e.V. She is also responsible for press and public relations at the Freie Volksbühne / KölnerKulturAbo association.
