Invisible Borders: Trans-African Road Trip 2018

In 2018, the Nigerian artist group Invisible Borders, consisting of photographers, filmmakers, authors and performers, set out on a trans-African road trip for the eighth time. The journey took them 45 days from Lagos (Nigeria) to Rwanda, crossing Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Topics included: Questions of faith, music, spirituality and dream spaces. The Invisible Borders exhibition will be presented as part of the africologneFESTIVAL 2019 as a Work in Progress of the Road Trip 2018. The core of the media installation (a co-production with africologne) is a 70-minute documentary film as well as images and texts created "on the road".
